Brain Gain Network - stock photos and graphics
It's a bit difficult to access pictures to correspond news articles and blog entries we post here in the Brain Gain Network website. I would say that it is risky grabbing pictures from Google Images and some of the photos I came across in the Creative Commons sections of Google Images and Flickr are not representative of the Philippines such as in the areas of trade, economy, development work, governance, industries, competitiveness, technology and innovation. Plus some more. I'd appreciate help from Oneline to help me build stock photos that we can use and reuse for our written works. Aside from this (since our graphics guy was let go recently i.e. March 2010), I need somebody to help create logos for the groups that have signed up so they can use the Brain Gain Network service and platform. To be honest, there is no end date in this endeavor. I am most willing to talk to people interested in taking this on. I'm technically a one-woman band running this show. :) Shoot me an e-mail nicole.paterno@bgn.org. Looking forward to replies. Brain Gain Network is about locating and connecting the Philippine diaspora; local (from provinces to urban cities) and global (mother country to host country) migration movements. In connecting Filipinos spread across the nation and the globe, we hope to gather and sync all ideas, talents, skills and brilliance into unified and collaborative effort that will uplift the Philippines economically and technologically. This is also one way wherein Filipinos based overseas can connect or reconnect with the Philippines and still feel that they are part of nation-building.
